Ahead of Bihar’s October 23, 2026, Legislative Council elections, several colleges have raised concerns over alleged irregularities in the Patna Teachers’ constituency electoral roll. Patna Science College reportedly identified five disputed voter entries and three eligible faculty members missing from the list, renewing questions about voter verification and the accuracy of the electoral roll.

The BJP has questioned Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor after a video purportedly showing an altercation involving party state president Manoj Bharti circulated on social media. The BJP also raised questions over alleged unpaid vendor dues of ₹70 lakh. Bharti reportedly described the incident as an old one, while separate reporting said the dispute had been resolved.
