The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has ended the BJP's nearly three-decade hold on the Patna Teachers' constituency in the Bihar Legislative Council elections. RJD candidate Dr Sanjeev Kumar Singh defeated five-time MLC and BJP leader Nawal Kishore Yadav by 1,057 votes, securing 4,487 votes against his rival's 3,430.

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has secured the Darbhanga Graduates' constituency in the Bihar Legislative Council elections, with candidate Anil Kumar Jha defeating BJP nominee Sarvesh Kumar by 4,010 votes. The result came after nearly 60 hours of preference-based counting, changing an early BJP lead into an opposition victory.
