Modi Father Remarks

Santosh Kumar, a Congress worker from Chhapra, Bihar, has claimed that his remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi were taken out of context, triggering a misunderstanding and an alleged assault. The controversy surrounding Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s remarks has escalated, with a BJP member also filing a police complaint over the incident.

The BJP has announced nationwide protests against Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge over remarks concerning Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late father at an event in Patna. The BJP has described the comments as offensive and alleged that they crossed the boundaries of political discourse, escalating the political confrontation between the two parties.

Bihar’s Legislative Council elections have become a test of political coordination for Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, amid differences within the JD(U) and Jan Suraaj’s first major contest across eight council constituencies.

The Bihar MLC elections are being closely monitored because of internal disagreements within the NDA and the participation of Jan Suraaj. The results will offer insight into alliance coordination among registered graduates and teachers, though they should not be treated as a direct measure of statewide voter opinion.
