BJP JD(U) Rift

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary met senior JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar at his residence in Patna amid growing political speculation over tensions between BJP and JD(U) following the recent MLC election results. The approximately 20-minute closed-door meeting focused on Bihar's development and the NDA government's priorities, while its timing has attracted attention within political circles.

Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party has achieved a significant political breakthrough in Bihar by winning its first seat in the Legislative Council. Party-backed candidate Dr Suresh Prasad Rai defeated former Bihar Congress president and sitting MLC Madan Mohan Jha in the Darbhanga Teachers' constituency. The victory marks an important milestone for Jan Suraaj and signals growing competition for established political parties in Bihar.
