Bihar Congress Intensifies MLC Election Preparations, Krishna Allavaru and Rajesh Ram Hold Regional Meetings

The Congress has intensified its organisational preparations for the upcoming Bihar Legislative Council elections, scheduling a series of meetings across Darbhanga, Purnia and Bhagalpur. The initiative is aimed at improving coordination among party leaders and reviewing election strategies in the teacher and graduate constituencies.
According to a report published by Dainik Jagran on October 14, Bihar Congress in-charge Krishna Allavaru and state president Rajesh Ram are undertaking a three-day tour from October 15 to 17.
Regional Meetings to Strengthen Party Coordination
The party’s programme includes meetings with district-level leaders and organisational representatives to discuss preparations for the Legislative Council polls.
A meeting in Purnia on October 16 is scheduled to bring together representatives from Purnia, Katihar, Araria, Kishanganj, Saharsa, Madhepura and Supaul. The discussions are expected to focus on coordination between district units, election planning and organisational readiness.
The tour also includes a meeting in Bhagalpur on October 17, where party leaders are expected to review preparations and discuss the next steps.
MLC Elections Bring Organisational Challenges
The upcoming polls across teacher and graduate constituencies present a different electoral challenge from general elections. The Congress will need to coordinate its local leadership, engage eligible voters and work with its political partners where applicable.
The meetings also provide an opportunity for the state leadership to assess local organisational concerns and communicate a common strategy ahead of polling.
Congress Seeks Stronger Presence in Bihar
The latest exercise highlights the party’s focus on strengthening its organisational network in Bihar. Regular consultations with district leaders can help identify local issues, improve communication and prepare workers for election-related responsibilities.
The impact of the campaign will become clearer as the election approaches. The party’s ability to translate organisational planning into voter support will be a key factor in assessing its performance.
