BJP Congress Dispute

Bihar's political landscape has witnessed a fresh development after Janata Dal (United) expelled Mokama MLA Anant Singh for six years and sought action against his Assembly membership. The state government has also withdrawn his wife Neelam Devi's official status and ordered her to vacate her government bungalow in Patna by November 25, 2026.

The Bihar Congress announced district-level protests on October 27, 2026, accusing the BJP of misrepresenting remarks made by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late father. The dispute has triggered a fresh political confrontation between the two parties.
